Job summary
Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager in Providence, RI. This leadership pipeline role will develop the next generation of Bakery Operations Managers by performing BOM-level tasks with urgency, accuracy, and accountability while coaching staff.
As ABOM, you will balance hands-on operations with talent development, take administrative ownership, and step in for the BOM when needed, ensuring continuity and high standards.
Qualifications
- 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
- Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
- Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation and scheduling support.
- Maintain product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Manage bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM.
- Partner with BOM and Area leadership to address gaps and implement solutions.
