Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to lead bakery operations, drive urgency and accuracy, and develop the next generation of Bakery Operations Managers. The role operates as an extension of the BOM and will step into full bakery ownership when needed.

The ABOM will blend hands-on operational excellence with talent development, ownership of administrative tasks, and team leadership, ensuring continuity during leadership transitions and staffing shortages.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach hourly team members.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control; assist in schedule creation and labor execution.
