Job summary

Winston Staffing is seeking a Patent Prosecution Support professional to join our team. The role focuses on supporting domestic and foreign patent matters, coordinating with attorneys and staff across offices, and maintaining patent portfolios with tight deadlines.

The position requires in-office presence five days a week and reports to the Manager of Patent and Trademark Services. Strong CPI skills, Word processing, and issue-spotting abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of intellectual property experience.
• Experience with USPTO filing, Office Actions, and related docs.
• Familiarity with foreign filing requirements and databases.
• Proficiency with CPI and document management tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file USPTO documents including new applications and continuations.
• Correspond with foreign associates and manage foreign requirements.
• Track and perfect chain of title; enter citations in CPI-IDS.
• Review USPTO communications and update status of applications.
• Assist with budgets, client invoices, and matter openings.
• Maintain patent prosecution files and docketing coverage.
