Job summary

Polsinelli is hiring an experienced IP Docket Specialist to manage docketing for patent and trademark portfolios and ensure accurate deadline tracking in CPi and related tools. The role supports inbound/outbound transfers and reporting, with an emphasis on attention to detail and timely delivery.

The position requires 5+ years IP docketing in a law firm setting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IP Docketing experience in a law firm environment.
• Prior experience with high-volume client portfolios.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of IP procedures (USPTO, PCT, international rules).
• IP docketing for assigned client portfolios with deadlines.
• Navigate US and international patent/trademark databases for details.
• Generate/edit reports from IP docketing software and assist with client portfolio reports.
• Assist with patent/trademark transfers, including report generation and portfolio verification.
• Set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Attend to minute IP details (inventor names, dates, titles, ownership).
• Work efficiently using available technology to streamline tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
