Job summary

Aligned Talent Acquisition is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney for its Dallas office in a hybrid role. The attorney will join a premier AmLaw 100 platform representing innovative companies in high‑stakes patent disputes across a broad range of industries.

Ideal candidates have 2–6 years patent/IP litigation experience, bar admission in Texas or ability to transfer, strong research and writing skills, and a JD from an ABA‑accredited school.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of patent litigation or intellectual property litigation experience at a sophisticated law firm.
• Experience handling patent infringement litigation in federal courts and before the ITC is preferred.
• Experience managing all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, claim construction, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Technical background in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or another scientific discipline is preferred.
• Experience representing clients in technology, telecommunications, software, hardware, manufacturing, life sciences, or financial services industries is a plus.
• Experience defending and prosecuting matters involving competitor disputes and NPE litigation is desirable.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in patent litigation in federal courts and before ITC.
• Collaborate with technical experts, inventors, and in-house counsel on complex technology matters.
• Manage all phases of litigation from pleadings to trial preparation and appellate issues where applicable.
