Xsensus is seeking an experienced Patent Agent or Technical Advisor to draft patent applications, respond to office actions and analyze technical documents needed for the patent application process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting patent applications: Create detailed written descriptions, specifications and claims for new inventions.
• Prosecuting patents: File applications with the USPTO and draft responses to office actions domestically and internationally.
• Collaborating with inventors: Work directly with inventors, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand innovations.
• Staying updated: Keep current on patent law developments and technical advancements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline). Advanced degrees are a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in preparation and/or prosecution of patent applications in a law firm.
• USPTO registration preferred; not required for Technical Advisory role.
• Bilingual in Chinese or Japanese a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
