Duties
- Collaborate with inventors, researchers, and attorneys to evaluate new technologies and inventions.
- Assess patentability, draft patent applications, and prepare responses to USPTO actions.
- Manage and maintain patent portfolios for clients in diverse technological fields.
- Stay current with trends in technology and intellectual property law to provide strategic guidance.
- Support clients in areas such as 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor systems, image processing, and wireless communication technologies.
- Communicate technical information effectively to clients and legal teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
- Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or eligible for registration.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and related fields.
- Experience with 5G, wireless technologies, AI, processor and memory systems, and RF front-end technologies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
Certifications
- USPTO registration or eligibility for registration is required.
Skills
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and develop patent portfolios.
- Experience in technical areas such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, AI, or computer vision is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
