Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking an Equipment Operator II (Patch Truck) to patch potholes, operate a patch truck, and support maintenance of streets and infrastructure. The role involves driving responsibilities, inspections, and occasional manual labor in varying weather across Denver.

Ideal candidates will have patch truck experience, paving familiarity, strong organization, and data-entry ability. CDL‑B with endorsements is required at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of general labor, including two years operating light to medium equipment.
• CDL-B license with endorsements required at application.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Patch Truck for pothole patching.
• Operate and maintain adjacent equipment and attachments.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections per guidelines.
• Carry out manual labor when not driving or operating equipment.
• Record trip logs and report defects and incidents.
• Assist with snow removal duties and routine maintenance.
• Mentor junior team members when appropriate.
