Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking a Traffic Signs and Markings Technician I to join the DOTI team. In this role, you will install and maintain traffic signs and pavement markings, operate striping equipment, and assist with sign fabrication.

A valid CDL with endorsements is required, and you may work varied shifts including snow response. Expect a field-heavy role that supports public infrastructure, with typical hours and a shift pattern aligned to city projects.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED (HiSET/TASC accepted).
• One year of traffic signs/markings experience OR six months of general construction experience with light to medium equipment.
• CDL license with appropriate endorsements (CDL B required; A/B preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair traffic control signs and pavement markings.
• Operate street striping trucks and related equipment and ensure line accuracy.
• Assist in the design and fabrication of traffic signs using graphics tools.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain daily work reports.
