Overview
The successful candidate will join the AMER IT team as a consulting Patch Management Workstation Engineer to assist with security vulnerabilities remediation, workstation infrastructure maintenance and support. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial industry with solid knowledge of core infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft SCCM/MECM, scripting (PowerShell and Power Query), Microsoft Operating Systems, and will possess excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Skills
- Support for Windows workstation security remediation and patch management via SCCM
- Support for application patching / security package deployment
- Patch management research and remediation for workstations (laptops, desktops), virtual desktops
- Hands-on involvement in patch completion if the automated cycle fails
- Automation of mundane tasks via PowerShell and Power Query where applicable for workstation support
- Work with the IT Support team when tickets/issues are assigned
- Work directly with the users to schedule appointments for workstation maintenance
- Proficient in using Microsoft SCCM/MECM, PowerShell, expert in Windows Workstation OS management
- Some knowledge of Qualys or equivalent system is a plus
- Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills are essential
- End-User support experience is required
