Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Network and Computer Systems Administrator, SME, to own the patch management lifecycle for desktops, laptops, and remote desktops. You will collaborate with end users, IT, and security to deploy patches, maintain configuration, and ensure policy compliance across the client environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related field; relevant and equivalent work experience may be considered.
• At least 10 years of hands-on patch management experience.
• Strong understanding of patch management principles and tools such as WSUS and SCCM.
• Experience implementing automated patch management solutions and ensuring deployment consistency.
• Experience conducting assessments, audits, and patch compliance checks.
• Secret Security Clearance is required; ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end patch management for desktops, laptops, and remote desktops.
• Develop and maintain patch deployment schedules across systems.
• Coordinate with end users, IT, and security to communicate schedules and issues.
• Evaluate, test, and apply patches, prioritizing critical vulnerabilities.
• Perform risk assessments for missing or applied patches and document remediation plans.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalate when needed.
• Automate patching with WSUS/SCCM and similar tools.
• Maintain SOPs and documentation for patch management.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and stay current on cybersecurity trends.
• Other duties as assigned.
