Job summary

Poplar Bluff Board of Education is seeking a PARENTS AS TEACHER'S EDUCATOR – PART TIME EMPLOYEE to support the Early Childhood Program District Wide. The educator will conduct home visits and group meetings to foster a positive learning experience for young children and their families.

Responsibilities include developing PAT-aligned lesson plans, maintaining records in Visit Tracker, and coordinating with families, schools, and community resources to meet children's needs while staying compliant

Qualifications

• Must hold certification in the field of Parents as Teachers meeting state and national requirements.
• Must have received training through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
• Must use the PAT program as the basis for instructing children and working with families.
• Must adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Must abide by all rules and regulations established by Poplar Bluff Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for PAT across home visits and group meetings.
• Translate lesson plans into learning experiences for families.
• Evaluate developmental growth and keep appropriate records.
• Provide individual, small group and large group opportunities for families using PAT curriculum.
• Cooperate with staff and community resources to meet family needs.
• Communicate progress with parents via home visits or group meetings.
