Qualifications

• Prior pastry, baking, culinary, dessert production or supervisory experience preferred.
• Friendly, professional and team-focused attitude.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead team in a fast-paced event environment.
• Knowledge of pastry preparation, dessert presentation, portion control and sanitation.
• Attention to detail, cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, timelines and service standards.
• Ability to stay calm, professional and solutions-focused under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual and able to take direction from Culinary leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pastry and dessert preparation, presentation, setup, service and breakdown for events.
• Ensure desserts, pastries, baked goods and specialty items meet Levy standards and are well-presented.
• Lead and support pastry team during preparation, setup, service and breakdown.
• Prepare, finish, plate, garnish and present items to maintain quality and consistency.
• Keep dessert displays and premium stations clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Monitor quality, freshness, labeling, rotation and temperatures during events.
• Assign tasks and provide direction to pastry attendants and support staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of pastry work areas and equipment and enforce safety procedures.
