Job summary

DO & CO is seeking a Pastry Helper in Boston to support the pastry production team with mixing, plating, and preparation of fruit salads and pastries. Responsibilities include knife work, station rotations, and ensuring supplies meet safety standards.

Applicants should be proactive, capable of handling a substantial workload, and able to work solo or as part of a team. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with full-time benefits and daily meals offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist pastry production team, chefs, and cooks with mixing pastry products, plating cold meals such as fruit salads and pastries.
• Use knife skills for cutting and peeling fruit.
• Perform tasks in different stations (Fruit cutting, economy packing, juice, basket, assembling and plating).
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at cooking stations; store ingredients and items according to food safety standards; follow guidance of executive or sous chef.
• Assist kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks; help maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
