Job summary

DO & CO group in Boston is seeking a Pastry Cook II to join our luxury hospitality team. You will bake and prepare pastry items according to recipes, work across stations, and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of pastry/bakery experience, knowledge of ingredients and baking techniques, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. We offer competitive pay and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in Pastry/ Bakery preferably with large production volume.
• Knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
• Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
• Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare pastry items according to specification/recipe. Monitor wastage and complete assigned tasks on multiple station within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines.
• Keep immediate work area clean at all times and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook. Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
