Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is seeking a Pastry Cook II (PM) to join our culinary team. The role requires a passion for cuisine, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver luxury-level pastry experiences in a high-end hotel setting.

You will oversee daily pastry station operations, assist in menu development, and ensure desserts meet our quality standards. Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pastry operations for the station, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
• Assist in development and preparation of dessert items and seasonal specials.
• Execute all daily dessert production according to recipes and standards.
• Communicate with Pastry Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef regarding updates and inventory.
• Adhere to recipes and presentation guidelines for high-quality pastries.
• Label, store, and organize ingredients; maintain a sanitary workstation.
• Support management and team with additional tasks and projects.

What are we looking for?

• A genuine, caring, and collaborative professional with a strong passion for hospitality and a natural ability to connect authentically with others

• Self-motivated, able to work well independently, and consistently takes initiative

What would you bring to the table?

• 3+ years of experience in a similar kitchen/hotel operation
• High school education, cooking school, or culinary institute education preferred
• Flexible schedule- availability to work evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in English
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand and move around the kitchen for the entire shift

What would your job responsibilities be?

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned kitchen station, ensuring efficiency and consistency
• Assist in the development and preparation of menu items and seasonal specials for the pastry department
• Execute and complete all daily dessert production according to established recipes and standards
• Communicate effectively with the Pastry Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef regarding menu updates, operational issues, and inventory shortages
• Adhere to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain high-quality production and visual excellence of desserts and pastries
• Properly label, store, and organize all ingredients and products at the end of each shift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health and safety standards
• Support management and team members by completing additional tasks and special projects as assigned
• Follow established service standards to ensure timely and high-quality food delivery to guests
