Job summary

Soho House & Co is seeking a Pastry Cook I for Cecconi's DUMBO to collaborate with the Pastry Chef and craft simple, rustic desserts and pastries that are memorable. You will manage all aspects of the pastry kitchen, prep-to-plate execution, and contribute to COGS while maintaining Soho House standards.

The role requires 3+ years in a fast-paced upscale setting, strong pastry skills from scratch, and the ability to work across stations with a proactive, team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in fast-paced upscale environment.
• Experience making pastries from scratch and plating.
• Ability to execute all menu items and prepare on all stations.
• Food handler's certificate.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Willing to work morning, night, weekends and holidays.
• Creative ability to develop recipes from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, house-made pastries and desserts across pastry stations for a-la-carte and production needs.
• Assist Pastry Chef with line, inventory, and purchasing to control food cost and waste.
• Supervise Pastry Cook(s) including onboarding and training.
• Follow health and safety policies and enforce company standards and laws.
• Create precise pastries and family meals with attention to detail.
• Support with end-of-shift reports and handover sheets.
• Maintain Soho House standards and contribute to a positive team environment.
