Qualifications

• Spiritual: Must believe in and adhere to The Navigators' Statement of Faith.
• Experience: 1–2 years as a Pastry Cook; culinary training or apprenticeship preferred; food handling certificate required.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Education: HS Diploma or GED.
• Compensation: Range $16.00–$17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pastry equipment; operate safely and as intended.
• Meet with supervisor daily to review assignments and guest volume.
• Complete opening and closing duties.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and supplies for cleanliness and function.
• Review production schedule and par levels.
• Prioritize daily prep items.
• Prepare menu items per standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Communicate shortages to Executive Pastry Chef to ensure service continuity.
• Adhere to proper storage procedures; comply with Health Department regulations.
• Practice waste reduction and assist in controlling food cost.
