Job summary

Mirabella at ASU in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Pastry Cook to produce pastry items for our fine-dining restaurant and upscale Bistro, contributing to catering services and our culinary program. Compensation ranges from $17.75 to $19.81 per hour, with DOE consideration.

You will follow directions from the Sous Chef and Cook Lead, completing duties to ensure timely meal preparation while adhering to Dining Services policies.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ pastry or bakery experience in similar establishment.
• Must be flexible with schedule & hours. Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Produce basic pastry items for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner for residents and staff meals.
• Work under direction of Sous Chef / Chef de Cuisine / Cook Lead to ensure items are prepared on time.
• Adhere to all Dining Services policies and procedures.
• Our kitchen operates as an a la cate scratch kitchen and maintains regular hours with no late night shifts.

Overview

Mirabella at ASU, Tempe’s premier upscale senior living community, is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our team of culinary professionals to create awesome food for our fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, catering services, and/or all other areas of our culinary program.

Wages

$17.75 - $19.81 / hr DOE

As a Pastry Cook, you will produce basic preparation-style items for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner for residents and/or staff meals. At the direction of the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or Cook Lead, you will be assigned specific duties to ensure that all items needed for meals or events are prepared at the time needed. You will adhere to all established Dining Services policies and procedures.

Our kitchen is a great environment to learn and grow! We are an a la cate scratch kitchen. Additionally, we provide regular and consistent working hours and no more 11 pm or 2 am closing shifts!

About You

• 2-3 years’ pastry or bakery experience in similar establishment (hotels, resorts, casinos, restaurants).
• Must be flexible with schedule & hours. Availability to work weekends and holidays.
