Job summary

The Delicatessen - Phoenix is seeking passionate Bakers to join our high-energy kitchen team in Phoenix. This role covers baking, prep, cooking, and presentation to deliver high-quality food each shift. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, move with urgency, and collaborate with teammates to ensure consistency and hospitality.

Prior kitchen experience helps, and a Food Handler card is preferred. We offer competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities within a chef-driven restaurant group,

Qualifications

  • Experience in a baker, cook, or kitchen role.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, bakeware, and cooking tools.
  • Familiarity with cooking and baking techniques (grilling, baking, boiling, prep).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude and teamwork.
  • Good communication skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to stand for long periods in a high-volume environment.
  • Culinary school training is a plus, not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients including baking, chopping, peeling, portioning, and measuring.
  • Cook and prepare food using various kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Monitor food during cooking for consistency and quality.
  • Maintain excellent food presentation standards.
  • Keep kitchen and prep areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
  • Properly store ingredients and prepared items.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to leadership.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

What You'll Do
