Job summary

Stella 34 Trattoria in New York, NY is seeking Seasonal Pastry Cooks to join our patisserie team. As a Baker, you will prepare bakery products and ensure items are served fresh and on time.

The season runs October through January. Pay is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with benefits including weekly pay, training and development, employee discounts, and flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes portion sizes and quality standards
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked, and utilize kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as knives, slicers, pots, steamers, and ovens
• Ensure proper baking temperatures are maintained, and food is stored correctly
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines

Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring Seasonal Pastry Cooks to join our team at Stella 34 in New York, New York. As a Baker, you will prepare the bakery products at Stella 34 and ensure all items are served in a timely manner with the highest freshness and quality.

Pay

$22.00 – $25.00 / hour

More about you

• 1-2 years of pastry experience required
• Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions
• Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to remain standing for the entire length of the shift while also walking, bending, reaching, and performing other repetitive motions
