Delaware North's Stella 34 in New York, NY is hiring Seasonal Pastry Cooks to join our team. As a Baker, you will prepare bakery items and ensure freshness and quality for service.

The season runs October through January, with hourly pay of $22.00–$25.00. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for training and development to support your growth in hospitality.

The opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring Seasonal Pastry Cooks to join our team at Stella 34 in New York, New York. As a Baker, you will prepare the bakery products at Stella 34 and ensure all items are served in a timely manner with the highest freshness and quality.

The season starts in October and runs through January.

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Follow recipes portion sizes and quality standards
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked, and utilize kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as knives, slicers, pots, steamers, and ovens
• Ensure proper baking temperatures are maintained, and food is stored correctly
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines

• 1-2 years of pastry experience required
• Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions
• Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to remain standing for the entire length of the shift while also walking, bending, reaching, and performing other repetitive motions
