Prepare items as specified on menus in a professional manner. Maintain equipment in a professional manner, take inventory, and place orders for your assigned station. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Relevant Pastry Shop qualification and experience in a hotel, resort, or quality restaurant
- Experience in a four or five-star property desired
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Servsafe Certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Work cohesively as part of the Pastry staff using various baking methods to ensure timeliness, efficiency, and product quality
- Ensure guest satisfaction by meeting food standards, addressing concerns promptly, and maintaining quality and timing standards
- Assist in managing kitchen expenses to maximize profitability while delivering high-quality products
- Possess advanced Pastry skills, including techniques in chocolate, sugar work, bread molding, and cake decorating
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Uphold departmental standards of quality and timing
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or unsafe practices immediately
- Attend scheduled meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement
- Perform other duties as delegated by leadership in a timely manner
- Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull, and walk for extended periods
- Work in environments with extreme heat, cold, or outdoor conditions as applicable
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and proficiently
- Perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly during a shift
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- May be exposed to hazards such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, or fumes
