Concord Church is seeking a Ministry Coordinator, Care to provide clerical and administrative support for the Care Ministry. The role handles intake, meeting members and the public, answering questions, and providing information on funeral services and benevolence.

The coordinator will manage funeral service logistics, coordinate hospital visits, travel arrangements for church leaders, process benevolence applications, and communicate needs to staff, ensuring smooth operations and compassionate

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited college.
• 2–3 years of clerical, secretarial, or office experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with routinely shifting demands.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Care Ministry intake and update the Congregational Care List weekly.
• Manage funeral service logistics and coordinate related vendors.
• Answer phones and assist with funeral, memorial, and other services.
• Communicate upcoming funerals and needs to staff.
• Coordinate hospital visits for members.
• Arrange travel for pastors and leaders for out-of-town funerals.
• Process benevolence applications and liaise with vendors.
• Distribute approved payments and manage checks.
• Attend required Concord Church training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
