Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Thermal Engineer to support NASA/JPL MASS contracts in Pasadena, CA. You will perform thermal/structural analyses of electronic hardware and enclosures, determine temperatures across environments, and assess vibration fatigue.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship or permanent residence, a bachelor's degree in engineering or physics, and at least 15 years of related experience. Onsite work with a 9/80 schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
• Must have TS/SCI (SSBI) clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics.
• Minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
• Extensive experience in structural/thermal analysis and testing of electronic hardware.
• Proficient in Thermal and structural design/analysis software (TSS, ANSYS, COSMOS, TAS, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware designs.
• Determine component temperatures for various environments and assess random vibration fatigue life.
• Review analysis submitted by subcontractors to JPL projects.
• Support environmental test programs.
• Support program/project design reviews.
• Interact with project personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
