Job summary

Bastion Technologies in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Spacecraft Environmental Requirements Engineer to support NASA/JPL MASS contracts and lead environmental verification activities for flight hardware. The role involves thermal/structural analysis, design reviews, and coordination with test teams.

You will work with advanced tools (TSS, ANSYS, COSMOS, TAS, SolidWorks) and interact with multiple interfaces to ensure mission environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires 15+ years in environmental requirements analysis and testing.
• Requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to sensitive information.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required.
• Experience with EMC/EMI environments and spacecraft charging is required.
• Proficiency with Thermal/Structural analysis tools (TSS, ANSYS, COSMOS, TAS, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware designs.
• Support program/project design reviews and environmental verification programs.
• Determine component temperatures across environments and assess random vibration fatigue.
• Review technical analyses submitted to JPL programs/projects.
• Support environmental tests including EMC/EMI, vibrations, and shock analyses.
• Interact with project personnel and test engineers; document verification plans.
