Job summary

Kuraray America, Inc. is seeking a Process Safety Manager in Pasadena, TX to lead the organizations Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs across sites.

The role emphasizes compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and industry standards, while driving risk reduction and an excellent safety culture. The successful candidate will develop and maintain corporate PSM standards, lead hazard analyses, and support integrity programs and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years manufacturing experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, specialty chemicals, or related process industries.
• 7+ years of direct Process Safety Management experience supporting OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulated facilities.
• 3+ years leading or facilitating PHAs (HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, LOPA).
• Experience implementing or managing corporate standards, policies, and management systems across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sustain a strong process safety culture.
• Develop, implement and maintain Corporate PSM and EPA RMP elements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead or participate in PHAs, LOPA risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Maintain Corporate Standards related to Process Safety Information and Engineering Standards.
• Develop and maintain Corporate PSM Standards on operating procedures, MOC, and safe work practices.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses and coordinate corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement through audits, investigations, and performance metrics.
