Job summary

Michaels in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a Party Host to plan and coordinate events inside the store, including children's birthday parties, to deliver a fun, engaging experience for guests.

You will assist guests, help with crafting activities, face painting, and manage add-ons while communicating with clients and store team. You’ll handle setup and cleanup and uphold safety standards throughout events.

Qualifications

• Must have energy, enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor.
• Experience working with children and their events is preferred.
• Excellent people skills and strong communication, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Demonstrate and instruct party activities, including face painting or related activities.
• Coordinate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Assist customers, manage checkout flow, and support omni-channel processes as needed.
• Set up, run, and clean up before and after events while maintaining safety standards.
