Job summary

Schumacher Auto Group of the Palm Beaches is seeking a Parts Warehouse Clerk to maintain inventory accuracy and support the warranty and returns process. This role requires meticulous recordkeeping and collaboration with service and warranty teams.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and posts incoming orders.
• Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive.
• Compiles stock control reports to determine stock supply and replenishment needs.
• Provides information to the warranty department for filing parts warranties.
• Reviews files to identify unused items and disposes of excess stock.
• Ensures credits are received for returned parts.
• Returns parts and removes them from inventory after credit is received.
• Returns cores in a timely manner and follows up for credit receipt.
• Assists in annual parts inventory and annual parts returns.
• Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.
• Other duties or projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

The Parts Warehouse Clerk assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Stocks and posts incoming orders.
• Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive.
• Compiles stock control reports such as consumption rate and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
• Provides necessary information to the warranty department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.
• Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
• Ensures that credits are received for returned parts.
• Returns parts as needed and removes from inventory after credit is received.
• Returns cores in a timely manner and follows up for receipt of credit.
• Assists in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
• Assists in annual parts returns.
• Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.
• Other duties or projects as assigned by management.
