The Parts Specialist will provide high-quality service to retail and installer customers and support store management in various tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
- Promote all company customer service programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, and Related Selling.
- Greet customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Assist managers and service specialists in serving professional customers.
- Complete relevant company training.
- Provide excellent customer service over the phone, including answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending products.
- Maintain cash drawer accurately, process transactions, and handle exchanges and returns following company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
- Assist with daily store operations like freight receival, stocking, cleaning, and planogram updates.
- Perform operational tasks such as merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
- Operate store equipment like brake lathe after training.
- Perform in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle codes.
- Drive delivery vehicles as needed, following driving eligibility requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging systems, and automotive sales or service.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
