Job summary

Mau Marine, located in Okoboji, Iowa, is seeking a Parts Specialist to handle shipment, receiving, stocking, and sales of marine parts. You will maintain inventory, label and locate items, and help customers with accurate parts information.

This role emphasizes a fast-paced environment, teamwork, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction while supporting daily operations of the Mau Marine parts department.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the shipment and receipt of all parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Unboxes product to check-in via packing slip or invoice and pairing with the correct purchase order.
  • Identify any damaged items and report to Parts Manager to resolve.
  • Label all received items with Mau Marine parts labels and locate them appropriately.
  • Tag and locate all special orders and report daily to Parts Manager.
  • Maintain accurate inventory in EVO and keep parts room clean and organized.
  • Identify and report daily parts restocking requirements.
  • Use manufacturer, dealer, web resources, and manuals to identify correct parts.
  • Sell parts to invoices, repair orders, or via POS system.
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally; fulfill parts requests accurately.
  • Process parts returns and redirect customers for parts not handled by Mau Marine.
  • Provide parts information for estimates and repair orders; monitor tracking and arrival dates.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to identify needs.

JOB TITLE: PARTS SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW: The Parts Specialist position is responsible for the shipment, receiving, proper check in, stocking procedures, sale of parts, and daily operations within the Parts Department. They must be professional, maintain a positive attitude, and uphold Mau Marine’s mission.

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Parts, Rigging & Warranty Manager

Key Internal Relationships: Sales Manager, Service Director, Service Manager, Service Department Technicians

Direct Reports: N/A

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the shipment and receipt of all parts, materials, and supplies
  • Unboxes product to check-in via packing slip, or invoice and pairing it with the correct purchase order
  • Identify any damaged items that were received in and report to Parts Manager to resolve.
  • Properly label all received items with Mau Marine parts labels including special orders, and locate them appropriately.
  • Tag and locate all special orders, report to Parts Manager all special orders received in daily.
  • Ensure inventory is accurately maintained in EVO.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized parts room. This includes maintaining accurate parts locations, shelf facing, and maintaining general overall cleanliness.
  • Identifies and reports daily parts restocking requirements
  • Utilize Manufacturer, dealer, web-based resources, and parts manuals to accurately identify correct parts requirements being requested
  • Proficient in selling parts to an invoice, repair order, and/or via POS system
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally
  • Fulfill parts request quickly and accurately
  • Process parts returns
  • Redirect customers for parts not handled by Mau Marine
  • Provide parts information for estimates and repair orders
  • Monitor parts tracking and expected arrival dates
  • Effectively communicate with customers to identify their needs
  • Other duties as assigned to assist overall Mau Team operations
