Carleton Equipment in Michigan’s largest Bobcat dealership is seeking a full-time Parts Specialist. You will help customers, locate parts, enter orders, and manage deliveries with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of parts/inventory experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and vendor portals. We offer training, benefits, 401(k) with match, and competitive pay.

Parts Specialist – (Full-Time)
Our parts department is currently seeking a full-time Parts Specialistfor ourbranch.

We provide our employees with the following tools and resources to be successful:

• Salary range of $18/hr-$28/hr based on experience

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Selling & Providing excellent customer service and support to customers
• Assists customers and/or technicians with locating and providing the correct part(s)
• Entering and processing parts orders
• Ensure all paperwork related to deliveries are complete and correct
• Shipping and receiving parts shipments,Check order accuracy before each delivery
• Stocking and organizing the parts department
• Check in, unpack and put away parts
• Sourcing and ordering parts as needed
• Managing the internal parts window for technicians and staff
• Maintain department order and cleanliness
• Assist in physical inventory counts
• Maintaining consistent, reliable attendance, including being ready to work at the designated start time
• Performing other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Experience & Education

• 1-2 years of previous parts and/or inventory control experience
  • IE.auto or truck parts counter experience is preferred
• High school diploma or GED

Technical & Mechanical Skills

• Basic mechanical understanding, including the ability to visually identify and name parts of industry-related equipment
• Familiarity with equipment such as step ladders, foot stools, pallet movers, and hand trucks

Computer & Software Proficiency

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with vendor web portals and inventory/order processing software

Communication & Professionalism

• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Proper phone etiquette required
• Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients, and team members

Language Skills – Basic

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write basic correspondence

Mathematical Skills – Basic

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
• Comfortable working with units of American currency, weight, volume, and distance

Reasoning Ability – Intermediate

• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions
• Capable of resolving problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will walk, sit; Occasionally will stand, reach with hands and arms,, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance
• Vision: No special vision requirements
• Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds;Frequentlywill lift from 11 to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift 26 to 100+ pounds
• Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions and vibration
