Job description

Senior Parts & Inventory Specialist - Construction Tech
Aledo, TX (western Fort Worth area)
About the Company

We're working with a fast-growing construction technology company that retrofits heavy machinery with easy-to-use software and physical AI, tackling safety and productivity challenges on real jobsites. Through a subscription-based automation model, they deliver task-specific, field-ready solutions that maximise jobsite efficiency without the upfront cost of new hardware.

Backed by $18M in venture funding and named to a leading robotics industry Top 50 list for four consecutive years (2023-2026), they're already deployed on solar farm and civil construction projects across Arizona, Texas, Colorado, and Missouri, as well as in Australia. As their U.S. rental fleet of automation-equipped machines grows, they need a hands-on parts and inventory specialist to keep it running.

Role Overview

This is a mission-critical, hands-on role reporting to the Director of US Field Operations. You'll own forecasting, ordering, inventory management, and inbound/outbound logistics of spare parts and consumables for a growing fleet of rental machines - and drive local purchasing to cut costs and shorten order-to-delivery cycles. Get it right and you directly keep machines "fit-for-service" - and keep revenue flowing.

Where you will make a difference
  • Owning the full parts lifecycle - forecasting, ordering, tracking, and inventory management through to fulfilment
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with local suppliers to secure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
  • Driving local purchasing of spare parts and consumables to improve cost efficiency and order-to-delivery times
  • Partnering with warehouse and field operations teams to forecast material requirements, track stock levels, and streamline replenishment
  • Managing purchasing workflows and inventory data in NetSuite
  • Working closely with finance on accurate monthly reporting and inventory reconciliation
  • Building scalable processes as the fleet and U.S. operation grow
Who you are
  • 3-7+ years' experience in spare parts operations - ideally within the parts team of a sizeable heavy equipment OEM dealer (e.g. a CAT dealer)
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end spare parts workflows: usage forecasting, ordering, PO lifecycles, inbound/outbound logistics, local sourcing, and price negotiation
  • Hands-on experience with inventory coordination, materials management, and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Strong cross-team communication - comfortable keeping operations, finance, and warehouse aligned
  • A founder's mentality - proactive, adaptable, and comfortable building processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Nice to have (not essential):
  • Experience supporting inventory reconciliation and financial coordination
  • Background in manufacturing, operations, construction, or logistics environments
  • Happy to roll up your sleeves and support day-to-day operational needs
Compensation & Setup
  • Performance incentives
  • Flexible work environment
Why Its Worth a Look
  • Foundational role in a high-growth U.S. operation - real ownership in building and scaling processes
  • Direct, visible impact on fleet uptime and revenue
  • Close partnership with cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Exposure to cutting-edge construction automation and intelligent equipment technology
