Job summary

Outdoor Equipment Co. in Dimondale, MI is seeking a Parts Consultant to be the first point of contact for customers needing replacement parts, accessories, and maintenance items.

You will identify parts, maintain inventory accuracy, and support the service department to ensure technicians have the parts they need to complete repairs efficiently. You will initiate service work orders, gather customer and equipment information, and document concerns before handing off to the Service Department.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts department or related industry preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts and accessories.
• Research parts using manufacturer catalogs and lookup systems.
• Process retail, phone, and online parts inquiries.
• Receive, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory.
• Order parts from vendors and monitor backorders.
• Work closely with service technicians to ensure parts availability.
• Keep the parts showroom and warehouse clean and well-stocked.
