Job summary

Vander Haag's Inc. in Winamac, IN, is seeking a friendly Truck Parts Sales associate to assist customers at the parts counter. You will sell new, used, and rebuilt heavy-duty truck parts and coordinate with the service department to fulfill shop needs.

This role offers day shifts Monday–Friday with an hourly base wage plus an uncapped monthly commission. Requirements include exceptional customer service, basic computer skills, and the ability to speak Spanish and English as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell new, used, and rebuilt heavy-duty truck parts.

• Assist with inventory control.
• Prospect and cold-call on potential new customers.

Vander Haag's is an industry leader in the sale of used, refurbished, and new heavy duty truck and trailer components. Our Truck Parts Sales team is at the center of this process, assisting customers with finding the parts they need to get their truck back on the road! We have an immediate opening at an established store location in Winamac, IN.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required
• Having some mechanical knowledge is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities of the job include: selling new, used, and rebuilt heavy duty truck parts; assisting walk in customers at the parts counter; working with the service department for parts needed in the shop; taking parts calls by phone; assisting with inventory control; and prospecting and cold calling on potential new customers.

Hours

Day shift hours, Monday through Friday.

Compensation

This position pays an hourly base compensation dependent upon experience level. Typical annual compensation for this position ranges from $40,000/year to $70,000/year. The compensation for this position includes an uncapped commission that is paid monthly.
