Job summary

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. in Billings, MT is seeking a Parts Sales Counter Associate to be the first point of contact for customers needing parts and supplies.

You will identify needs, provide product recommendations, and ensure timely delivery of parts to support high customer satisfaction and efficient operations. Ideal candidates have prior parts sales experience and a strong knowledge of automotive or machinery parts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in parts sales, automotive, or industrial parts preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive or machinery parts is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with sales/order management systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry parts or equipment when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts and supplies.
• Provide accurate product information and recommendations based on customer needs.
• Process parts orders, both in person and over the phone, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of parts inventory, product features, and availability.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns related to parts and products.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking, and maintaining an organized parts area.
• Process payments, provide receipts, and complete sales transactions.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
