Job summary

GLS North America is seeking a diligent Parts and Materials Coordinator to manage inbound/outbound deliveries, inventory received parts, and support new program launches across multiple locations. You will ensure accurate labeling, storage, and timely processing to keep operations moving.

Based on experience, the role offers a Monday–Friday shift, with a starting pay rate of $17 per hour, and opportunities to grow within a company that values precision, teamwork, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have DOT/Chauffer's License.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be a reliable team player.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications preferred.
• Hi-Lo experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn Hi-Lo is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all receiving deliveries: FedEx, UPS, and Central Transportation.
• Inventory count of received parts, logging inventory into Excel.
• Label and put parts away into their appropriate location.
• Identifying new incoming programs, organizing parts based on part numbers, labeling, and preparing for the new program to launch.
• Pulling exporting parts for programs to ship, getting parts properly packaged, creating an invoice, and shipping labels.
• Point of contact for parts requests from other GLS locations.
• Travel to off-site locations for delivery when required: GLS Paint Shop, GLS Romulus, GM Tech Center.
• Uphold the warehouse cleanliness.
• Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
