Job summary

Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment is seeking a meticulous Parts Coordinator to handle receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and shipping of parts and materials in our Columbus warehouse. You will ensure accurate order fulfillment and maintain organized, safe operations.

Responsibilities include verifying inbound shipments, labeling and storing inventory, conducting cycle counts, processing orders, preparing shipping documents, and coordinating shipments with carriers, while

• 1+ years of warehouse/shipping/receiving/inventory experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Job description

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping of parts and materials. This role ensures timely fulfillment of customer and internal orders while maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse operation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing excellent service through accurate inventory control and order processing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory Management

• Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities and product condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Unload, inspect, and accurately process incoming parts and materials.
• Label and put away inventory in designated storage locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management or ERP system.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Pick parts accurately according to customer orders, work orders, or transfer requests.
• Pack orders securely to prevent damage during shipment.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and carrier paperwork.
• Coordinate shipments with various freight, parcel, and delivery carriers.
• Verify order accuracy before shipment.
• Maintain required shipping records and tracking information.

Warehouse Operations

• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for efficiency and cleanliness.
• Ensure parts are stored safely and properly.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required.
• Follow company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within warehouse operations.

Customer & Team Support

• Respond to internal requests regarding parts availability and order status.
• Work closely with purchasing, service, sales, and operations teams.
• Assist customers, vendors, and delivery personnel as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service through timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or parts-related experience.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations.

Preferred

• Experience in a parts distribution, manufacturing, automotive, equipment, or industrial environment.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory management software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
