Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect COD payments. You will also pick up customer returns and assist with merchandising when needed.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to use handheld delivery devices, and excellent customer service skills. You may help cashier tasks and other store duties as business dictates.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company’s standard 14/18-point system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and perform vehicle inspections.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out per company policy.
• Assist customers, serve as cashier, and help with merchandising as needed.
