Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to customers, collect COD payments, and manage customer returns. The role requires safe driving, device usage for deliveries, and daily vehicle inspections.

You may also assist customers at times, handle merchandise tasks, and help with stock and clerical duties as business dictates. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and inspect them daily before operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and money collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips; communicate issues to store management.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicles are locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out per policy; assist customers including cashiering and merchandising as needed.
