Job summary

Truck Country / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star is seeking a delivery driver to support parts orders and on-site customer service in Decorah, IA. The role involves verifying invoices, obtaining signatures, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate parts delivery to customers.

You will regularly pick up parts from vendors, process returns, and maintain the delivery vehicle through daily checks. Experience with Outlook and strong attention to detail are essential for accurate, timely service.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts orders for customers as needed.
• Deliver truck parts to customers and verify against invoice.
• Obtain customer signature for delivered items.
• Collect payment for cash invoices and process through Parts Department.
• Pickup parts from vendors and verify against packing slips.
• Receive and document returns (cores, new parts, warranty parts).
• Perform daily vehicle checks (fluids, tires, lights) before routes.
• Unload the delivery vehicle at day end and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help pull parts orders for customers as needed
• Delivery truck parts to customers after verifying the list of parts pulled against the invoice
• Obtain signature from customer for parts delivered on charged invoices
• Collect money for cash invoices and turn into Parts Department
• Pick up parts as needed from vendors and verify that the parts match the packing slip
• Receive and write up all returns (cores, new parts, warranty parts) that customers have on the return credit memo and take to shipping/receiving for processing
• Perform a daily check of delivery vehicle (fluids, lights, tires) before leaving for delivery route
• Completely unload their delivery vehicle before leaving for the day
• Maintain fuel log and turn in all fuel receipts
• Obey the posted speed limits and laws when delivering parts
• Keep delivery vehicle clean and organized

Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Valid driver license
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently
