Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is hiring a delivery associate in the United States who will pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers. You will engage with walk-in customers, upsell products and maintain stock, while following safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work varied shifts. Automotive parts experience is preferred, with strong customer service and math skills to support sales goals.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus; communicate effectively with customers, peers and leadership.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.
• Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing CPP with insights learned.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned.
