Job summary

City Personnel is assisting a Northern RI manufacturer in Smithfield in their search for a Customer Service/Parts Specialist. This role handles parts and retrofit orders from intake to shipping, collaborating with customers and the corporate office to keep orders moving and issues resolved.

The position offers stability with a permanent hire, a $50,000–$52,000 yearly salary, and benefits with bonus potential. A Monday through Friday schedule with on-call requirements is included.

Qualifications

• Experience processing parts and retrofit orders via email or phone.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through on open requests.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Flexible and dependable around scheduled on-call and after-hours coverage.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform light physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process parts and retrofit orders received by email or phone, tracking outstanding offers and orders through to completion.
• Coordinate repairs and returns, ensuring accurate documentation and consistent follow-up with customers and internal teams.
• Communicate directly with customers and the corporate office to resolve parts-related questions and requests.
• Pick, pack, and arrange shipments via UPS, FedEx, and other carriers as needed.
• Provide on-call support for emergency parts requests, including one evening per week and a rotating weekend hotline (roughly once every five weeks).
