Job summary

Stevens Point Auto Center in Stevens Point, WI is hiring for a Parts Associate to oversee the parts sales process from start to finish. You will communicate with customers on status, read catalogs, provide price quotes, and ensure correct pricing and billing on service orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, fast-paced work capability, and strong organizational skills; Ford parts experience is a plus. Benefits include medical, dental, 401k, and more.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, commissions and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Maintain friendly, professional communication with staff and customers.
• Read and interpret parts catalogs when looking up parts.
• Provide price quotes and information over the phone.
• Review shop estimates for pricing accuracy and part alignment.
• Pull and fill orders from stock, and perform weekly stock checks.
• Notify Parts manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent needs.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources when necessary.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service orders.
• Process payments or obtain credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

Job description

Wage: $40,000-$50,000 per year PLUS Commission after probationary period, weekly payroll

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provides high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fills orders from stock
• Maintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notifies the Parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair orders
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

Qualifications

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Ford Parts experience a plus
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Have strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
