Job summary

Carland is seeking a parts sales professional to oversee the sales process from start to finish. You will communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner and verify parts against shop estimates.

Responsibilities include reading the parts catalog to locate specific parts, answering calls with quotes, and ensuring pricing aligns with estimates. Work involves pulling parts from stock and coordinating stock checks, including urgent ordering when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, etc.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Explain customer parts status clearly and efficiently.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when addressing specific parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and information to customers.
• Review shop estimates to verify correct parts and pricing.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock and conduct weekly stock checks.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent needs.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources and place emergency orders.
