Job summary

Truck Center Companies in Fairmont, MN seeks a Parts Counterperson to serve walk-in and phone customers, identify parts, and promote related items. You will pull stock, check availability, handle special orders, and collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth parts department operation.

This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Reliable customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must have excellent reading skills and legible handwriting.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid operator's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive, helpful and professional attitude toward our customer.
• Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials and ensure exposure to the full product line.
• Pull purchased parts from stock. If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested by the customer.
• Meet and greet customers immediately upon arrival.
• Answer incoming customer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Promote additional sales to customers by suggesting additional parts or services related to current purchase, including specials.
• Participate in any Company sponsored training deemed necessary by management.
• Learn skills of other interacting positions within the department to fully understand all aspects of parts department.
