Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. in Spokane, WA is seeking a Parts Counter Sales Associate to handle parts orders by phone or in person and guide customers to the correct components. Forklift operations are part of daily duties.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least two years in a heavy-duty parts environment, and strong customer service skills. Forklift and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years in heavy-duty truck or automotive parts department experience.
• Ability to interact successfully with customers and co-workers; respond with urgency when needed.
• Must be able to operate parts department equipment, forklift, and pickup.

Responsabilités

• Answer customer calls and fill orders from stock parts.
• Assist customers on parts and shop counters.
• Read catalogs or computer for replacement part numbers, availability, and price.
• Advise on substitutions if replacement isn't available.
• Advise on quality improvements or service bulletins for parts.
• Inspect returned parts or cores and exchange if defective.
• Stock parts by part number sequence; use measuring tools if needed.
• Maintain neat shelves and assist with physical inventory.
• Process payments and make change.
• Perform periodic bin checks as required.

Will advise customers of needed parts according to description or malfunction. Needs to be able to operate a forklift. Also perform duties necessary for the smooth operation of the parts department.#### **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**1. Answer customer’s phone calls and fill order from stock parts.2. Help customers on parts counter and shop counter.3. Read catalog, microfiche viewer, or computer for replacement part numbers, availability, price and substitutions.4. Advise customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.5. Advise customer of any quality improvement or service bulletin on part replacement.6. Examine returned part or core to determine if defective and exchange part for refund.7. Stock parts according to part number sequence.8. Use precision measuring instruments to determine whether similar parts may be machined down or built up to required size.9. Clean parts shelves to prepare for physical inventory.10. Accept payment for bills and make change.11. Use calculator and computer keyboard.12. Do periodical bin checks.## Qualifications#### **QUALIFICATIONS:*** He/ she will be responsible for the set up of advertising displays or arranging merchandise on counters, display areas for promotional sales.* High school diploma or equivalent required.* Must have at least two years or more in heavy duty truck or automotive parts department experience.* Will need to be able to interact successfully with customers and co-workers, and have the ability to recognize the need for urgency in helping customers.* Must have the endurance to move at a fast pace and from one job requirement to another quickly; also be able to operate parts department equipment, forklift, and pickup.
