Alta Equipment Company in Ottawa, IL is seeking a full-time Parts Counter Associate. This union position (Local 150) covers processing parts purchases, selling parts, and maintaining margins. The role also includes inventory tasks, shipping/receiving support, and delivering parts to customers.

Requirements include at least one year of parts counter experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED. ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of heavy equipment, auto or truck parts counter experience.
• Valid driver's license; chauffeurs license preferred.
• High school diploma/GED; ASE certifications preferred.
• Basic mechanical understanding and part identification by sight/name.
• Excellent communication and professionalism.
• Knowledge of mark-up and gross margin.
• Proficient with ordering, phones etiquette, and basic software.

Responsabilités

• Process parts purchases and sales.
• Actively sell parts to customers.
• Maintain department order and cleanliness.
• Assist in physical inventory counts.
• Deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving of parts.
• Apply Alta's guiding principles daily.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
