Job summary

Eastern Waste Systems is seeking a Parts Coordinator to manage fleet inventory, locate and deliver parts, and support fleet technicians to keep trucks and equipment operating at peak condition.

Responsibilities include identifying parts, controlling inventory, receiving shipments, and loading parts for service calls. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• Must have valid Florida driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift heavy items.

• Maintain inventory and locate parts for fleet repairs.

Full Job Description:

Position Overview: The Parts Coordinator maintains proper fleet inventory and provides support to the Fleet Technicians with the locating, delivering and inventorying the necessary parts and supplies, tires and tools to keep company fleet and equipment operating in optimum conditions.

Essential Functions:

• Must possess knowledge in mechanical parts pertaining to diesel and gasoline engines.
• Must possess knowledge with medium to heavy duty trucks.
• Must be able to identify parts and their locations.
• Must be able to control inventory.
• Attend to call from technicians.
• Determine the necessary part(s) needed to complete the repair(s).
• Receive inventory from vendors and correctly identify, label and stock, both physically and in the computer.
• Maintain proper inventory levels with Min’s and Max’s.
• Physically unload parts and place in the proper locations.
• Load and unload technician parts to and from service trucks.
• Must possess computer knowledge.
• Must possess shipping and receiving experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• Willing to work outside the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.
• Must have valid Florida driver’s license.

Work Environment:

Environmental conditions (such as typical office or administrative work). The employee may be subject to one or more of the following atmospheric conditions the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation.

Technical Skills:

Proficient with inventory software, POS systems, computers, and the internet.

Physical:

Ability to lift heavy items, bend, twist, turn, climb ladders and stairs.
