Waste Pro is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic A / Heavy‑Duty Fleet Technician for our West Palm Beach maintenance facility. You will diagnose and repair diesel trucks, CNG vehicles, and related hydraulic, electrical, emissions systems across a diverse fleet.

You will work on Mack, Peterbilt, Freightliner and Autocar trucks with hydraulic, electrical, emissions, drivetrain and brake systems. ASE‑certified technicians enjoy advancement and strong earning potential.

Waste Pro is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic A / Heavy-Duty Fleet Technician for our West Palm Beach maintenance facility. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, CNG vehicles, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, emissions systems, and heavy-duty vocational equipment.

You will work on a fleet that includes Mack, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and Autocar trucks; Heil and McNeilus refuse bodies; diesel and Compressed Natural Gas vehicles; Liquefied Petroleum Gas and hybrid-powered equipment; and hydraulic, electrical, emissions, drivetrain, and brake systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform drivetrain inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ability to perform general engine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ability to perform transmission inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ability to perform outside repair inspection reviews.
• Ability to assess structural damage and determine the necessary repairs.
• Ability to provide assistance, guidance, and direction to all shop technicians.
• CDL Class B license preferred, or the ability to obtain a CDL Class B license.
• Ability to obtain seven (7) ASE Certifications, or the equivalent, within 36 months of employment.

Work Environment

This position is performed both indoors and outdoors and requires working in a busy maintenance shop with frequent exposure to heavy equipment, vehicle traffic, noise, dirt, grease, chemicals, and varying weather conditions. Occasional road calls and work in extreme weather may be required.
